The hotel has a very welcoming and beautiful lobby! Rooms have recently been remodeled, clean and cozy. LaBonte bar bartenders can give you a bit of background history on the building and a cold beer and The Yard is open to kids until 8 pm with pool table, ping pong, and darts! Fun for the whole family!
Maybe the worst night in a hotel ever! The bar was so loud we could not sleep at all until way after 1AM. There was no no one to check us in and the bartender failed to mention she put us in room right above the bar. Next morning, when someone showed up at the front desk, she was rude and could care less if we had a bad experience. Do not stay at this hotel if want a good nights sleep!!!
Great atmosphere. Best place to go for casual drunks and hanging out with friends in Douglas. Wish the popcorn had more popped on a slow night. Bartenders are very nice.
Great location, and small but nice and clean rooms.
I love this old hotel! So many places that get renovated lose their old charm but the update the owners did is classic looking and still keeps that timeless feel. The hotel is in the heart of Douglas and is a short walk to everything you could need, especially the bar! The only downside to this place is the creaky stairs are sometimes loud and creepy but I think that adds to the cool old feel of the hotel. A must if you plan to spend time in Douglas!
